Teddy Has a Home
![]()
Mistress Tekla was right. The Hedgehog had two wounded legs what made it difficult to walk. It fell into a trap which had been set for some animal. Our friends quickly took care of it. Pufa and Fufa brought food; the Ladybird and the Spider dressed its wounds.
‘And where do you live?’ asked the Anteater.
‘Me?’ thought the Hedgehog. ‘Here.’
‘It starts snowing, and you want to stay here?’ Fifi was surprised.
‘I don’t want to, but I must. I haven’t managed to prepare any burrow for myself.’
‘So I’m inviting you to my house’, spoke the Anteater. It is big enough and we will both fit in. And now hurry up’, he added, when he saw that the Hedgehog’s eyes started to fill with tears. ‘Christmas Eve is coming soon.’
‘Jump’, purred Kitty and he placed his back to the Hedgehog.
‘Merry Christmas!’ everybody shouted and run to the Christmas tree.
