New Year

The long-awaited New Year's Eve has come. As every year, our friends organized a big competition. The one who most quickly will guess which of the friends was hiding under the demonstrated disguise, should become a winner. And when it already seemed that the victory would fall to Maurice, he was unexpectedly outstripped by the Lady Bird. It appeared that she faster recognized Agatha, who disguised herself as a ballet dancer, as well as the Anteater, who pretended to be a dinosaur. There was no end to games and fun, and nobody even noticed that the oldest owl sat down on the Christmas tree by which all habitants of the forest met on New Year's Eve. As every year, she spoke in a loud voice giving everybody her best New Year's wishes. Right after, she announced that the beginning year was going to be a year of goodness and kindness.

'Bravo!' exclaimed Fifi's Father.
'Bravo!' answered everybody else. And suddenly they started singing:
This new year all is going to be better.
Our hearts will be warmer and smiles happier.

We want to be good; goodness is good.
We avoid evil as much as we should.

Nowy Rok

Nadeszła długo wyczekiwana noc sylwestrowa.
Jak co roku nasi przyjaciele urządzili wielki konkurs. Zwycięzcą miał zostać ten, kto najszybciej odgadnie, który z przyjaciół ukrywa się pod prezentowanym przebraniem. I kiedy już wydawało się, że zwycięstwo przypadnie Maurycemu, niespodziewanie zaczęła go wyprzedzać biedronka. Okazało się, że szybciej rozpoznała Agatę, przebraną za baletnicę, oraz Mrówkojada, udającego dinozaura.
Zabawom i radościom nie było końca, i nikt nawet nie spostrzegł, kiedy na świątecznym drzewku, przy którym wszyscy mieszkańcy lasu spotkali się w noc sylwestrową, zasiadła najstarsza sowa.
Jak co roku przemówiła swoim donośnym głosem składając wszystkim noworoczne życzenia. Zaraz po tym ogłosiła, że rozpoczynający się rok, będzie rokiem dobroci i życzliwości.
- Brawo! - zawołał tata Fifi.
- Brawo! - odpowiedziała reszta. I nagle wszyscy zaczęli śpiewać:
W tym nowym roku wszystko będzie lepsze.
Nasze uśmiechy i serca cieplejsze.
Chcemy być dobrzy bo dobro jest dobre.
Od zła uciekamy, bo zło jest niedobre!
